Can't you just understand~

I made Chicken and Rice for dinner the night before last and everyone seemed to love it. Isabella finished all of hers (which says alot) Abby finished hers, and Nick went for seconds. I was proud of making something other than spaghetti that was devoured. So yesterday morning Nick was in the kitchen making his lunch for work (this is amazing in itself) and he was packing up the last of the Chicken and Rice, he says to Isabella "you want me to pack some for you for lunch" and she replies "No, and don't tell mommy , but I really didn't like it". Of course he is going to tell me, cause he thinks it is funny (we have a joke around here about my cooking). I wasn't sure if I should be offended she really didn't like it, or proud that she ate something that she really didn't really like without complaining. I chose to take the latter. After I picked her up from school yesterday, I of course asked her if she wanted some leftover chicken and rice and she said "no" I asked why and she said (in an exacerbated voice) "I don't want anymore...can't you just understand that" LOL I got onto her about talking like that, but I was laughing inside cause I know she just doesn't want to hurt my feelings. I did however choose to take the latter, so maybe it would be best if I let it go.

Just for kicks....Abigail thinks these Build A Bear shoes are hers...LOL She loves to wear them (yes all day)

OMGosh, that is just too funny and sweet for her to spare your feelings like that. What a big girl. I love hearing stories about other families and the funny things their kids say. =)
